BROCHURE
Community Living Ajax-Pickering & Whitby
This is a series of brochures designed for a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities across various aspects of their lives. Initially, I was tasked with creating an overview brochure to provide information about the organization’s services, aimed at individuals seeking support and their families.
The design theme focused on promoting a positive and uplifting perspective, countering the common perception of disabilities as a negative subject. To achieve this, I utilized vibrant colours and dynamic imagery featuring real individuals supported by the organization to create an engaging and optimistic visual narrative that aligned with the organization’s mission
Impressed with my work, the organization entrusted me with the design of three additional brochures to further enhance their outreach efforts.
BROCHURE
This is another brochure developed as a referral from my work with Community Living. It was designed to provide clear, concise information in simple language for individuals with disabilities seeking funding opportunities to pursue post-secondary education. To make the content more relatable and inspiring, the brochure highlighted real success stories, showcasing how others had successfully navigated the process and achieved their educational goals.
BRANDING + MARKETING MATERIALS
Role:
Tools:
This brochure project was part of a collaborative effort with two other designers to develop a new business branding strategy for fruit farmers in Japan. Following the creation of a comprehensive brand guideline, we produced a series of marketing materials, including brochures, business cards, and product packaging. My key contributions to the project included illustration, photography, and visual design, ensuring a cohesive and visually compelling brand identity.
PACKAGING DESIGN
Minami Vocational Support Centre
This packaging design project was created for plant-dyeing products crafted by individuals with disabilities at a non-profit vocational support centre in Japan. As this was a low-budget project, my primary focus was to ensure the design could be printed using a home printer while emphasizing the organic and natural essence of the products through thoughtfully designed packaging that reflects their authenticity and craftsmanship.
LOGO + BUSINESS CARD
Maluma
This business card was designed for my personal design brand, Maluma. The name Maluma is inspired by the Maluma/Takete Effect, a cognitive neuroscience phenomenon that explores the intuitive association between sounds and shapes: Maluma is linked to soft, rounded shapes, while Takete is associated with sharp, angular shapes. Through this concept, I aimed to communicate that design transcends cultural barriers and should be universally intuitive and approachable for all.
BUSINESS CARD
I'm Geoff

I designed a business card for a handyman business with an emphasis on accessibility and approachability. The inclusion of an illustrated headshot adds a personal and friendly touch, reinforcing the message that the handyman is dependable and readily available to assist anyone in need of his services.
POSTER
Tsunagi Onsen Association
This campaign project was developed to promote tourism in Iwate, Japan, an area renowned for its exceptional hot springs. The poster was designed to highlight the traditional beauty, centred around the tagline: "Travel, Laugh, and Connect." The design aimed to inspire a sense of relaxation, joy, and community, encouraging travelers to explore all that region has to offer.
